Togbe Afede XIV


Mr Togbe Afede, XIV founded Strategic African Securities Ltd., and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Afede served as a Lecturer at the Business school, University of Ghana and Executive Director of Databank financial. Services Ltd. Among his major professional accomplishments, he co-founded Databank Financial Services Ltd and founded Strategic Initiatives Ltd and SAS Investment Management Ltd., among others. He is an Investment Banker with experience spanning over twenty (20) years. He serves as Chairman of strategic initiatives Ltd in Accra. Mr. Afede has been a Director of Pioneer Kitchenware Ghana Limited (Alternatively, Pioneer Kitchenware Limited) since January 2002 and serves as its Chairman of the Board. He served as a Non-Executive Director at Bank of Ghana since April 16, 2009 until June 26, 2013. He serves as a Director of National Theatre of Ghana, Accra Hearts of Oak FC Ltd., SAS Investment Management Ltd and Strategic Initiatives Ltd. He has been a Non Executive Director of Aluworks Ltd. since February 2002. He is currently a member of the President's Economic Advisory Council. Mr. Afede holds an MBA degree in Finance from Yale University in USA and a BSc Administration (Accounting) degree from the University of Ghana. Togbe is also the President of the NHC (National House of Chiefs) and therefore the paramount King of traditional rulers across Ghana, he also was recently re-elected Chairman of the Ghana state bank (NIB) and now sits on the council of the State (serving with the President of Ghana and elected members for Ghana)

Ishmael Yamson

Vice Chairman

Ishmael Yamson is an highly competent business leader and business development professional, with a total of 18 years experience. He combines strong business acumen with exceptional technical and process knowledge, and has a solid track record of delivering business and ICT solutions. Ishmael has a strong entrepreneurial spirit which has seen him build a number of private businesses during the last 17 years. In addition and prior to this, Ishmael worked with a number of sizeable ICT organisations, where he led his teams to deliver commendable results. Highlights include Negotiating and securing a €10m SAP franchise for Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Gambia to deploy hosted services, executing telecommunications contracts in excess of $1,300,000 in 2007 and secured contracts for a further $5,600,000 over three years and sitting as the current Chairman of WASPAG where he develops and maintains relationships with the NCA (the local regulator), MNOs and the Telecom Chamber.

Paul Akwaboah

Director of Marketing

Paul has extensive experience in terms of marketing to the West African and specifically Ghanaian corridor and his activities support both offline and online public relations for technology companies include fintech, and sports based companies where he provides marketing support for groups such as the Essien Foundation. He has successfully implemented marketing strategies 360 to drive visibility for brands and user acquisition and as such recently was awarded opportunities to support the current President of Ghana. Paul brings high value, extreme drive and a network that will prove invaluable to any of Cloud Africa’s clients and partners. He is based in London.

Kwadwo Ohemeng Asumaning

Director of Technology

An Information Communication Technology professional and an Entrepreneur with work experience spanning over 35 years. He currently serves on the boards of African World Airlines and Business Council for Africa (Chairman). He also served as an Executive Director and MD of Africa Online the oldest ISP in Ghana. He worked in various Senior Management capacities in Telkom South Africa SOC Ltd including Telkom’s Wholesale Business across the world. Kwadwo was involved in developing a unique mobile solution using biometric identification to pay old age pensioners in South Africa when working as Product and Business Development Manager at Cash Paymaster Services, a subsidiary of First National Bank, in Johannesburg South Africa, a Solution which won Smithsonian award of excellence in Washington DC, USA. He holds a Bachelor (Hons) in Computer Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi and an Executive Development Programme in Business Management and Strategies from Witwatersrand. Henry Essilfie

Director of Finance & Compliance

A qualified accountant with over 15 years post qualification experience gained working in senior finance roles within the financial services and FMCG sectors with blue chip organisations such as Capita Registrars, RBS Insurance, Heinz Foods, Princess Foods, ADM UK Ltd and is currently Financial Controller for Kings Interventional Facilities Management LLP. Henry also acquired experience of working in Ghana in his role as Financial Controller of Pioneer Food Cannery (at the time a Heinz subsidiary). In this role as a result of a good grasp of the business model and industry, he recommended and presented key strategic changes which were adopted and implemented by the senior management team to improve the profitability of a business which was previously seen as the underperforming unit within the Group. This also has given him a good understanding of the Ghanaian business environment. Henry has a keen interest in managing businesses for growth and in his capacity as Associate Director (Finance) for EAIS, he has worked closely with the Board of the business from start up to build an award winning international school with an increasingly growing reputation. Most recently Henry was the led person in the setup and management of UT Financial Services Ltd a money transfer business within the UK.

Akwasi Agyeman

Non-Executive Director

Akwasi Agyeman is currently the CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority. He has diverse knowledge in Business and Organizational Management, especially in the private sector.He holds an MBA in Marketing and Information Systems, MPA and BA (Hons) in Social Sciences.
Mr Agyeman was also the MD founding partner for GMA (Global Media Alliance) a much coveted communications agency in Ghana. He has also worked in various senior level capacities with Ecobank, Merchant Bank and Stanbic Bank in South Africa. Mr. Agyeman has several years experience in Project Management, Crisis Communications, PR and Media Relations across the African continent.
His involvement in several projects including event management, corporate positioning, corporate communications, media relations, image building and public relations across Africa, provides him a great opportunity as he heads Ghana’s buoyant tourism sector. Akwasi Agyeman, who is the President of the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA), also serves on several boards including Graphic Communications Group Ltd, and Silverbird Entertainment Ghana Ltd.

A mobile and technology visionary and one of the early movers into the African region where he commands great respect from his peers in Africa and innovators looking to enter the market.
